Through the research and development mode combining the laboratory basic theoretical research, industrial test preparation and industrial large-scale application, the project team has gradually broken through a number of key technical problems troubling the production of continuous casting of high-titanium steel, and studied and developed the preparation process of "continuous casting- -hot continuous rolling" containing titanium wear-resistant steel.Compared with the traditional process, the titanium alloy wear-resistant steel produced by this process has the advantages of high production efficiency, high material yield, low production cost and a wide range of product use."The production process is simple, both wear resistance and toughness, with broad application prospects."Said Xiong Xuegang, a senior engineer at the Pangang Research Institute.
Xiong Xuegang introduced that in the production process of wear-resistant steel, Panzhihua Steel creatively uses titanium carbide particles to enhance wear resistance and improve strong toughness, which can effectively reduce energy consumption.
